You may not agree with me, but I'm one of the people who believe Elon Musk will bring humanity to Mars.
Naturally, the odds are stacked against him, but if you have studied his life and work a bit, you know that he will get the job done.
Time and again, he has beaten the odds with both Tesla and SpaceX, and making humanity an interplanetary species is something he considers his life's purpose.
In fact, he is so determined to do it that every decision he makes in SpaceX is made looking through that prism.

So let's assume he succeeds, what will it mean to us?
